The Tosa-Ken at StoneWall
Katsudohoma also known as "Mikie"
January 9, 2006
This is one of the hardest things I have ever had to write since I have been blessed with this magnificent breed. On this day Mikie was humanely put to sleep due to congestive heart failure. Mikie was cremated and will come home to be on our farm. Mikie will be forever missed and loved. Please do not ask me to talk about this, it is just too hard. Mikie was a best friend and loyal companion.
I hope you enjoy the pictures below of the wonderful life he lead.
Mikie is out Shogun and Hanako. First black import pair from Japan. Mikie is the only Schutzhund titled Tosa in the world. Extreme high ball drive. Can also be seen on the protection page. You will find on this page Mikie as he grows up and in to his elder years. This is a Tosa with a load of personality and immense drive.

This is where it all began. Honako left, Shogun right Japanese Imports

Mikie takes after his father Shogun, He loves to swim, pictured is

soccer. Mikie is only a little over a year old here.

Mikie always loves a good swim, pictured at a little over a year.

This will be an addition to Mikie's page of his geriatric years. Do not let the age fool you. Mikie is going strong even at 11 years of age this year, 2004. Mikie still chases dogs down the road and chews on horse buckets. Hope you enjoy. Mikie is and always will be my boy.

Mikie at 9 years old, always ready for a game of tug of war with Ronnie.
Mikie gripping at me, I am holding his ball and he knows it is time to go
swimming July 2003
Now these next set of pictures still make me laugh just thinking of them. I
was in the house and I kept hearing Mikie barking I looked outside and he was
tossing the horse bucket in the air. This went on for over 30 minutes.(2a)
February 2004 Mikie is eleven now.
Mikie chewing on the bucket, now remember he is eleven years old, not one
gray hair.(2b)
This is the "I am caught picture" (2d)
"I swear I was not doing anything", look, (2e)
Mikie lives an awesome life, he resides on over an acre with one of my stallions Texas. Mikie still to this day chases my chickens.

On November 23, 2005 I made a hard decision and sent Mikie to live the winter in Georgia on a beautiful horse farm. The temperatures in Tennessee were more than Mikie could bare at his age "14". This farm offered him a heated stall at night and turn outs under trees in the day. Mikie was showered with attention and people "something Mikie thrives on". I hope you enjoy the pictures of his time at the farm as much as I have. I also want to think the owner for her deep dedication to Mikie. I know it was not easy to care for him in the last days, my deepest thanks, you are an angel.

Not even a gray hair at 14 years old

The next set of pictures show what a fighter Mikie truly is. At 14 Mikie is still trying to be Don Juan. The female is in heat and Mikie thinks he is still got it. Oh course that time is long past but we will not tell him. December 12, 2005

Updated pictures of Mikie on January 4, 2006
Mikie was always a true character. Mikei figured out that is he sat by the wheel barrel that they would load him up and he would not have to walk. This became a daily routine. Just like Mikie to do something like this. I look at these and just laugh.
We miss you and will always love you Mikie....
